“I would like to extend sincere thank you to the Specialised Solutions team at Motability and the adaptations company Ergomobility in West Sussex.

In May 2018 I underwent a right through knee amputation. Driving on the normal Mercedes WAV seat became painful as my stump was not supported. By the time I had spoken to the Specialised Solutions team at Motability and attended Ergomobility I was awaiting a left leg amputation. Not knowing what level of amputation I was going to have we all agreed that changing the drivers seat was put on hold.

Once I had my 2nd amputation in August 2018, I informed the Specialised Solutions team which amputation I had. Between the Specialised Solutions team and Ergomobility, changing the WAV from internal transfer to drive from wheelchair was carried out promptly. Ergomobility managed to get my vehicle in earlier than the agreed date and the change over after measurements were done was completed within 24 hours.
